Flimmaker's Biographical Summary |
Joseph Bishara, filmmaker and multimedia specialist, brings a diverse and unique perspective from a fusion of multinational cultural and educational experiences. He has created special effects and computer animations, shot studio and location video footage, researched, written, directed and edited productions from documentaries to fiction films. He has contributed to more than 60 educational multimedia titles, earning awards for his innovative and effective style. As the lead developer of the cutting-edge, user-friendly, course-content webDVD format, bridging the gap between textbooks, video, written materials and the Internet, Bishara effectively created the first multimedia in the nation ever to be adopted by a state for high school Biology education. He has been invited to speak in Texas, Washington, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Missouri by state, regional and national teacher/administrator groups. While developing content for CEV Multimedia, an educational multimedia company in Lubbock, Texas, Bishara held the position of Multimedia Production Manager and National Spokesperson. Bishara directed and produced the short film Simeon’s Promise, chronicling the transformation of schizophrenic homeless man trying to rebuild his life. Incredibly, a rough-cut of this fantasy/drama earned the WorldFest International Film Festival Top Honors Bronze Prize. He also received the 2001 Aubrey N. Davis Family Memorial Award for his vision and leadership. He has the distinction of having achieved perfect quantitative scores on both the SAT and the GRE. |
