Joe Dishner Bio - From an early career as a special education teacher in San Antonio to University of Texas film school drop-out and co-founder of The Austin Chronicle, Joe Dishner has composed a career in film in Texas. His filmography includes mainstream, independent, industrial and commercial film work. Mr. Dishner worked his way up the ranks serving on the crew of THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, photographer for an industry film FAMOUS IN FIFTEEN, co-producer and unit production manager for THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, and producer of SECONDHAND LIONS. Many of Mr. Dishner's projects are filmed in Texas, and he is complementary of the resources the State has to offer. An article in The Louisiana Weekly by Christopher Tidmore and J.D. Alfone, Mr. Dishner is quoted as saying "People already film in Texas because of great crews, locations, and film commission support." Production
