2005 Awards included:

- an expansive $1,000 Grand Prize - "Test Day"
- a sublime $750 Preston Smith Award - "Underdog"
- a wide-open $500 Louise H. Underwood Award - "1309"
- a spacious $500 James B. Storey Award - "Fragile Farming"
- a flat $500 James W Johnson Award - "Perils in Nude Modeling"
- and an earthy $250 Audience Award - "Test Day"

The Flatland Film Festival cultivates an appreciation for independent film, video and digital moving-image expression. Based in Lubbock, Texas, Flatland Film Festival serves the citizens of this community and encourages artists working in this mode of expression.
